Mangrove plantation project at tideland
When thinking about what to do now as a measure against global warming, what we are best at YLF was mangrove planting.
Since over 30 years, the vast tidal flat of this area has always been worry for us.As the result of consultation with Professor Baba of the University of Ryukyu, we received a powerful word that it is a very good project and support. Since 2006, we started mangrove reforestation, dreaming of enriching a forest in this area, we continue to plant mangrove.

Sekenah Island
(Tidal Flat of Sukana Island, Batam City, Riau Islands, Republic of Indonesia) 115ha
Started mangrove reforestation from September 2006.
Temoyong Island
(Tidal Flat of Temoyong Island, Batam City, Riau Islands, Republic of Indonesia) 103ha
Started mangrove reforestation from August 2007.
Temoyong Island is an area where Kyoei Marine Co., Ltd. makes mangrove forest as “Forest of Kyoei”. YLF has taken over local reforestation, management and nurture in that area.
Dapur Enam
(Tidal Flat of Duple Anam Village, Batam City, Riau Archipelago State, Republic of Indonesia) 250ha
Started mangrove reforestation from June 2008.
In the reforestation of Duple Anam, two villages (Duple Anam Village and Duple Tiga Village) are involved in reforestation, management and nurture.
Tanjung Ramei
(Tidal Flat of Galang Island Tanjung Ramei, Batam City, Riau Islands, Republic of Indonesia) 300ha
Started mangrove reforestation from March 2009.
YLF has taken over local reforestation, management and nurture. Since there are no villages around the tidal flat of Tanjung Ramei, two villages (Duple Anam Village and Duple Tiga Village) are involved in afforestation, management and nurture.
